Woman Sits on Toilet for Two Years
This has nothing to do with sports, although we were looking up the story about Doug Mirabelli being released from the Red Sox when we spotted it.
This is mitts-down one of the weirdest stories ev-ah. Police found a woman who spent two years in the bathroom, much of it sitting on the toilet. Her legs appeared atrophied and she was covered with—please put your food and beverages a safe distance from your mouth—the toilet seat equivalent of bed sores.
Weird enough for ya? That’s not all: She has a boyfriend who brought her food and water. Only just now thought something just didn’t seem right and he put a call into the fuzz.
Obviously something is wrong with both of them but . . . wow. We even had second thoughts about that joke we had in mind about how it all started with a “quick trip” to the bathroom during the seventh inning stretch. Luckily, cooler heads prevailed and we went with the joke anyway.
But still . . . that’s a sad, strange tale indeed.
