Wait a Minute, We Thought There Was No Crying in Baseball . . .
. . . but apparently things have changed!
Earlier we mentioned Bill Buckner’s who-would-have-guessed-it-before-2004 return to Fenway Park yesterday. And, as this article mentions, Billy Boy was verklempt upon being received so kindly. But the article also highlights some of baseball’s greatest Buckner-esque gaffes. Check it out if you want to engage in schadenfreude (joy through other people’s misery) or relive the all-too-well-remembered pain, depending on your disposition. (Any guesses as to which category we belong?)
P.S. Thanks for sending this, Pat!

Thought you’d enjoy this take from Julius Sharpe over at News As Gossip. (http://newsasgossip.blogspot.com/2008/04/bill-buckner-gets-rousing-welcome-back.html)
Is it baseball season already?! As an Orioles fan I guess I can be excused for not looking forward to the next 5 months. :)

Like I always say, Mark. Come over to the Dark Side. (That is, become a NE fan if you’re disappointed in your hometeam).
The link is a gem–worthy of its own post!
