So the Pats Taped the Rams Before Super Bowl XXXVI
. . . . in 2002 and now we hear about it, six years later. An “unnamed source” says the Patriots taped their opponent practicing just prior to the Big Dance that year.
Push us over with a feather from a Las Vegas showgirl’s pink boa. We’re shocked! Or not. Here’s our gee-hardly-at-all-jaded take:
1. This is sour grapes by a) the St. Louis Rams and b) everyone who resented the 2007 New England Patriots’ perfect regular season.
2. What do you think the odds are that no other team/coach in the history of the NFL ever taped another team? Slimmer than an Olsen twin standing sideways.
3. Those who are still crying in their Bud Light over the non-issue Spygate became will relish in using this ”new evidence” to resurrect the ”asterisk” talk.
4. This is oh-so-conveniently timed. Somebody should launch an investigation to see if the New York Giants are behind this bombshell. Or Eli Manning. Or better yet, Peyton Manning. Or better yet, Nabisco, who sponsors those completely asinine neat-o Double Stuff Oreo commercials. Or maybe even Bridget Moynahan.
Or maybe . . . we consider that this is just a last-ditch effort to get under the skin of Brady, Belichick, & Company and/or take them down should they be victorious today.

Anyone complaining about the Patriots is just jealous. And who wouldn’t be? They’ve had an AMAZING season! It’s too bad people can’t just celebrate their fabulous performance without trying to pull them down. They’re great because they’re great, not because they’re cheaters.

Glad these f***in` cheaters lost, first Super Bowl they couldn`t videotape! Belichick is not a wizard, he`s a cheater!

Riiiight . . . ’cause we all know that if teams videotape during a game they can actually translate that into real-time responses during that same game. And that AFC game they lost to the Colts last years must have been because someone ran out of film, right?
Gee, I didn’t see this Anti-Pats sentiment coming from a mile a way . . .
