Big Brown is a Big Favorite at the Preakness
Yes, we know horses don’t rant, engage in scadalous behavior, or date celebrities. But we heart horseracing! We couldn’t just snub the Preakness, quite unlike that snotty girl at the gym who stopped talking to us for no good reason and who won’t even make eye contact with us when we stand at adjoining lockers.
Big Brown’s convincing win at the Kentucky Derby a few weeks ago—a bittersweet victory in light of second place filly Eight Belles’ tragic death—has him as the favorite for the Preakness.
A win today would make him a favorite for the Triple Crown (for which he’s already even money), something the horseracing world hasn’t seen since this bloggerette was in Huggies.
Affirmed won in 1978. Will Big Brown be wearing the roses in 2008? We hope so!

I’ll certainly be watching! I’m hoping he will win. Like everyone else, I long to see another Triple Crown winner.
And I swear I didn’t see you standing by that locker.

And yay! He won!
As to my presence in the men’s locker room—hey, we need to protect our sources in the pro sports world. That wasn’t me you saw snapping towels on their tushes, either.
