Backflips, Times Two
Maybe it was that Looney Tunes DVD set we ordered from Amazon last week and that conveniently arrived over Thanksgiving break. Or maybe it was the Rocky and Bullwinkle DVD set that we also bought from Amazon and received during T-day vacay. More than likely, it was both. Both exemplars of old-school animated greatness have contributed to our current state of mind, which amounts to a yearning for slapstick comedy and silly pratfalls.
So today we bring you a double-feature.
First up is a 39-second wrestling video (complete with slow-mo . . . which reminded us of the Road Runner cartoon we saw the other day!). It was really quite nice of the other wrestler to spot the guy during his aerial backflip:
And part two of our Laugh at Others’ Mishaps Matinee is a 32-second clip that reminds us of summers long ago, when Slip and Slide was the cat’s meow for every kid in the ‘hood:
