Are Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo planning a trip down the aisle? Nope, not according to a reliable source . . . Tony Romo himself. The Dallas Cowboys QB nixes the nuptials nattering in a couldn’t-be-more-vanilla interview with People.com.

Hear that really intense, gusty sound? That’s the sound of every Cowboys fan in the nation heaving a collective “Phew!”

Dallas fans are no doubt glad that Romo’s “unlucky charm” isn’t currently slated to be a permafixture at the games. Fans of opposing teams, like this guy, have probably wished on a lucky star or two that Simpson and Romo take the marital plunge:

People.com: During the off-season, will you visit Jessica in Nashville, where she’s recording a country album?

TR: Yeah. She’s working hard. She’s doing a great job, and I’m really excited about the way it sounds. It sounds real good. I’m excited.

Yeah, we’re excited too. Almost us much as you, Tony, since you’re apparent enthusiasm is so contagious.

* Indeed, that was us being facetious; some might even say, sarcastic.
